HAP Standard Certification Audit
Purpose: HAP developed the Standard in Accountability and Quality Management to assess compliance against the Principles of Accountability. The HAP Certification Audit is offered to agencies enrolled in the HAP Certifications scheme and consists of an independent assessment conducted by a registered HAP auditor, which, if successful, leads to the agency being awarded a Certificate in Humanitarian Accountability and Quality Management, valid for three years, subject to a mandatory mid-term monitoring audit.
Format: The complete process normally takes between 10 to 12 working days and may involve two auditors. The audit is conducted at the agency’s headquarters and at least one programme site as selected by the lead auditor. For larger organisations, more than one programme site audit may be required. In addition, all humanitarian programme sites are required to complete and submit a self-assessment statement to the lead auditor.
Note that the price guide below does not include the fee for conducting the mid-term monitoring audit.
