Designing an Accountability Framework

Purpose: All full HAP Members are required to report progress against their Accountability Framework on an annual basis. This service is designed for senior staff with designated responsibility for preparing their agency’s framework, and is optional for agencies requiring tailored advice and support to develop and more effectively use their framework. It is also offered to non-members.

Format: A half to one day workshop, depending upon need and design, potentially including a brief background presentation to assist in contextualising the work, followed by facilitation to collectively draft a relevant and functional framework that accurately reflects the agency’s quality commitments and processes for implementing them.

Participants will be guided in preparatory work prior to the workshop, in order to ensure that relevant information is available. Written or verbal feedback can also be provided subsequent to the workshop as the framework is finalised.

Working towards the HAP certification forced us to really scrutinise our work, it was a positive step and will inspire us to strive towards continually improving our work with poor communities worldwide.
